【报告主题】 The present state of renewable energy in the U.S. concentrating on the biofuel industry and its impact on agricultural production and the environment will be presented. The competition for land use between agriculture, natural areas, and other uses as well as the competition between agricultural production of food, feed, fiber, and new fuel will be described.

【主讲人简介】Peter Wright，美国农业部杰出技术专家，美国联邦政府、美国农场管理局，南非、波兰、墨西哥等国家有关农业废弃物管理的咨询专家。目前，发表期刊和会议论文130多篇，获得国际奖项9项，包括美国农业部自然资源保护中心“飞鹰”奖(Flying V Award)、美国农业生物工程师学会杰出论文奖 (Superior Paper Award)和农业教育推广“蓝带”奖(Blue Ribbon Award)、美国土壤保持协会“突出成就”奖(Special Achievement Award)等。教育、工作经历
